The homeowner wanted a contemporary house which was an expression of their refined taste and which would complement their urban lifestyle. A challenge to the program was that while the owner wanted a distinguished presentation to the street with a symmetrical classical façade, access to a three car garage needed to be incorporated. This was made possible by using a ramp to a below grade, and side entry garage, which is not visible from the street.
